Short Ribs & Mash Potatoes
3 pounds beef short rib (about 6 serving-sized pieces)
1 packet Lipton onion mix
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme leaves or 1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves, crushed
1/4 cup all-purpose flour or almond flour
1 Jar Beef Gravy
1 cup beef broth or Campbell’s onion soup
1 bottle (12 fluid ounces) dark ale or beer (optional)
1 teaspoon brown sugar (optional)
Time-Saving: Recipe may be cooked on HIGH for 4 to 5 hours.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Recipe
1 head of garlic
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
2 pounds potatoes, preferably Yukon Gold or another yellow, waxy potato
1/3 cup cream
3 Tbsp butter
INSTRUCTIONS Place the potatoes and garlic into a large stockpot, covered with water by about two inches.
Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for 20-25 minutes or until fork tender.
Drain the water very well, then add in the butter, milk, salt and pepper.
Mash well with a potato masher until creamy, about 3-5 minutes.
